We get asked often if our plu stickers are edible.
The short answer is NO. Many people are confused thinking that the FDA requires PLU labels to be edible but its only the adhesive that must be FDA approved direct food contact not the actual PLU sticker material. Our labels are made from paper and are much more Eco-friendly than the plastic PLU stickers.
You can eat a PLU sticker, but it won’t taste good
Just like eating a regular sticker, it probably won’t hurt you in small amounts, but you definitely do not want to make it a habit. The base sticker material is not an edible material, just paper with a varnish finish on it.
